The Gift of Books

I love to read, and most of my friends don't. They always say, "Book's are boring," or "That's pointless, why read?" This explains why books are important to me, and so many other people.

I've loved reading since I was young (like 6-7 years ago, I'm only 15) and it helps me in ways most people can't understand. Book's take me away from places. They take me away from pain I'm in. Book's help make life easier for so many people, and that's what most people don't get.

When I read Harry Potter, I forget about everyday struggles. I get to take classes with Harry Potter, or go visit Hagrid and Fang. I can fly on a broomstick during a Quidditch match, and break into the Ministry of Magic. I don't think about what I'm going to wear today, or if I completed my schoolwork.

When I start a new book, I actually get a little frightened since I don't know what will happen to the characters. Once I start reading, all of my fears vanish, and I enter their world. I get to experience new and exciting things most people only dream of.

So when you ask me, "Why do you read so much?" This is why I read so much. To break away from the struggles of my daily life.
